🏆 Living

My partner and I are living on the Sunshine Coast with our dog Barry. We have a pretty quiet life, mostly spent in each other’s company watching TV, going for walks or spending time with our friends/family. Recently we’ve been focusing on our health, both physical and mental - trying to be the best we’s, we can be

Oh and we’re getting married this Thursday (in 3 days at the time of writing this) 👑 exitement and stress are in full swing

đŸ’ģ Working

I’m currently working in the Workplace Technology team at Open, my department expands out to include the DevOps team, which lets me easily dip my toes into my next career goal before taking the leap. Most recently I’ve been working with Terraform to manage parts of our AWS infrastructure, as well as link it to other systems. My next big goal is to integrate it into our identity management platform - Okta

📚 Reading

I mostly enjoy fiction stories, but want to start reading books to improve personal skills as well. Check out my GoodReads account or Fable account for more

  • 🔮 Favourite Book of 2025 (so far)

    • 🚀 Project Hail Mary: This book has sat in my memory since I closed the final page - an excellent read. There are definitely moments that are heavy on the science, but they’re not integral to enjoying the story the book presents. Interestingly, first person story telling is normally lost on me, but it plays a large part of the character development in this book, and it’s done masterfully. If you haven’t yet, pick this up before the movie release and enjoy the eide. Fist my bump!
    • 🗡ī¸ Words of Radiance: Book 2 of the Stormlight Archive. It’s absolutely rocked me to my core - it was immensely enjoyable with a strength I really didnt expect to be hit with. I had many a late night binge read to get find out what happens next, and half the book lives rent-free in my pre-frontal. “Honour is dead, but I’ll see what I can do” goes SO. INSANELY. HARD. 12/10

  • 📖 Current Obsessions

    • 🗡ī¸ Elantris: I’ve gotten so engrossed into the Stormlight Archive that I was afraid I’d not be able to go back to the earliest Sanderson book and enjoy it, so have swapped over to it after Edgedancer. Definitely a rough start, but I’m enjoy most of it now - both Sarene & Hrathen are pretty hit or miss, but my BOI Raoden is absolutely ballin’ on all the other mobs in Elantris.

  • ✅ Recent Finishes

    • đŸĨž Edgedancer: A very quick read that touches on an interlude character from Words of Radiance - nice, concise, world expanding story.

đŸŽŦ Watching

TV shows are my household’s biggest media consumption by far, we will often throw stuff on in the background while going about our day-to-day activities

🕹ī¸ Gaming

I have a massive backlog of games, so naturally I will replay the old favourites instead. When the urge does strike to play something new, I’ll typically pick up a story-based game I can sink my teeth into.
